(Archived) New Premium Plan Details

Recommended Posts

I just got a pop up which stated the new premium plan is $5 per month or $45 per year, with a monthly upload allowance of 500MB.

There was also something about priority indexing, I think. (I didn't do a screen capture!!).

I was directed to a page to purchase subscription, but that page was blank.

I'm happy with the price, but I think a larger upload allowance would be appropriate. Since everything is measured in GBs nowadays, I reckon at least 1 GB a month should be offered.

You may not be doing the math on the "per month" part. 500MB per month would let you upload 6GB in your first year alone. That's around 100 web clips (or 8000 text notes) or per day, every day, for an entire year. I assume you aren't actually clipping more than 100 web pages every day ...?

My maths is just fine. I'd like a greater monthly upload allowance.

I'm a historian. I photograph a lot of documents, several hundred pages/photographs at a time. Evernote is a superb way of organizing and annotating (and possibly indexing). Each photograph is c. 1MB. Thus, 500MB is going to be pretty tight some months.

This is another example of EN not thinking in terms of professional users.

This is another viewtopic.php?f=37&p=25049#p25049 .

Another is the lack of support for attached files expect read-only PDFs.

I'm beginning to wonder if EN3 is intended for professional use at all. If it is, then start listening please (as opposed to arguing). We spend time on this forum to make sure that EN3 will support our usage of it. Thus ensuring you a premium account client-base of professional users.

But answers like this and in the other threads will make you loose our support in no time.
