(Archived) suggestion for mac menubar

please add a "quick note" feature

i have stopped using evernote because i have become tried of waiting for it to load

when all i want to do it just quickly add a note, and title and tags

i do not need the full evernote application to load to jott down my thoughts and then close the application.

it's nearly 15 seconds of loading before ready for use

then it's another 5 seconds and two mouse clicks, or a control-q to close the program.

which is the same time and effort to do what i want to, which is simply just write a note that is added to to my evernote cloud of notes.

so i am requesting a new feature to be added to the menubar a "quick note" option with a hot key of course.

Why not just leave it open all the time? Looking in Activity Monitor, mine is sitting there using 0% of my CPUs and under 100mb of memory.

Why not just leave Evernote running all the time?

Then you can immediately create a new note with the global hot key (CMD-CTRL-N).

(The hot key is changeable in the Evernote Prefs).

I always leave Evernote running on both my Mac and PC, and have not seen any issues with doing so.
