(Archived) BUG: Auto-zoom broken since 2.1

As of version 2.1 (up to and including 2.2b2), auto-zoom stopped working on both my Macs. I can't see any other mention of it, so I assume this is some freak thing that's somehow managed to hit both my machines. Any suggestion on how I can trick it back into working?

This was silently fixed in the latest beta (2.2b3).

Im still experiencing this bug as of version 3.0.6b2

what about a corrupted catalog? could that be the issue?

btw how to check for catalog error and eventually rebuild it?

Thumbnail view has, unfortunately, been removed from the Mac version so the malfunctioning auto zoom is moot at this point.
