(Archived) Clearing Tags from Notes

I'd like to totally wipe tags from some of my notes, and leave others alone. By way of a broad example, I have the tag NEWS assigned to Notes 1,2, and 3, but I'd like to leave NEWS attached to notes 4,5,6.

Is there a way to wipe out all the tages assigned to 1,2, and 3, and just start over while preserving the tags in Notes, 4,5 and 6?

I couldn't find a way of doing this using the Evernote app, so I went ahead and wrote a quick AppleScript to do it for you.

Simply select one or more notes that you would like to clear out the tags for and run the script/app.
