(Archived) Search for "@@" within note?

Like many, I am frustrated by the lack of rich text editing on the android or ipad applications. As a work around for To Do list items, I'd like to be able to designate "to do" items created on the ipad with a @@ notation. I'd then like to set up a saved search that would find all of the notes with @@ and then I could add the checkbox in the desktop version. For some reason, the search doesn't work with @@. I've even tried @@@ thinking that there might need to be 3 characters. I've tried quotes and no quotes, neither worked.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how I can set up a search that will return the notes that include a @@ string?

IOW, you cannot search on any special characters except the underscore.

You could use a tag called "to do".

Thanks. I think I'll just change my notation from "@@" to "_2do" and run the search on that.
