(Archived) recover lost database from second machine before autosync

My entire database was clobbered. Can I recover the content from a different machine that hasn't synced yet? I would have to open Evernote on that machine, interrupt the autosync and then sync again, overwriting the server, I suppose, but I don't know where (or if) these features are available.

I also understand that Evernote may have some older version of my database on a secondary drive somewhere. Is it possible to restore my database to an earlier version of itself from these 'obsolete' backups?
