Connan 0 Posted May 31, 2008 Posted May 31, 2008 Hi:I've just discovered Evernote (thanks Lifehacker!) and have spent maybe an hour playing with it and another hour or so reading this board and the documentation. Seems like a great program, but I've run into a few questions I hope someone can help me with.Save PDF to EvernoteThis produces a print error message ("Print. Error While Printing"). I have an HP inkjet. Am I doing something wrong is this just a known beta issue? Using a ScannerI found references on this site to a folder that Evernote can automatically retrieve from if materials are dumped in, and references to setting up various scanners so with one button push they automatically drop info into Evernote. However, I can't figure out how to do either with my Beta version. Am I missing something or is it just not implemented in the Mac Beta? The only way I've been able to get material from a scanner into Evernote is by scanning, saving as a JPG and then cut-and-pasting. It works OK but its a bit labor intensive, especially if I'm going to take all the scraps of paper on my desk I'd like to scan and get them scanned in. Is there a better way?General Thoughts and Ideas- Will there be any way to scan business cards and output the data in Mac address format? This is something, by the way, I think many people would pay for- It would be cool if there were a user manual readily available for the Beta. I know documentation is a pain, but I bet in the long run it would save time for everyone- How about a Together like tab on the side of the screen?Any help much, much appreciated
cozmokrmr 0 Posted June 2, 2008 Posted June 2, 2008 I'm getting this error as well. It's really a feature I use for other software like yojimbo. I hope there is a fix coming up for it.

Can't remember where, but I did put it in Evernote in case it ever happened to me again. In the Finder, browse to your Home folder and then Library -> PDF Services In there you should see an item called "Save PDF To Evernote": Double click that and you should see a message from the Finder: Click "Fix Alias..." and the Finder will ask you to find the Evernote application: Select Evernote and click "Choose" and you should be good to go.
