(Archived) Rotating PDF files

Recommended Posts

Not directly within our app. If you right-click in the desktop client, you can open the PDF in your preferred desktop PDF viewer, which may support rotation.

That will create a separate PDF that will need to be uploaded and processed from scratch.

If I open with Adobe Reader from EN I can rotate and save and do not create a separate file. Works just like an Excel file. Don't know if there is any freeware that does it. Or am I missing something here?

From the user interface, it will replace the existing PDF so that it just looks like you modified the original. But under the covers, this creates a separate PDF file which needs to be copied up to the server. I just mention this because if you scanned something at too high a resolution so that it was a huge file, then synchronized it, rotated it, and synchronized again, you'd end up using up twice as much quota.

If you rotate quickly before synchronizing, then it would only count once.

First of all, thanks for a great service and app and everything.

Is there no plans for Evernote to incorporate rotating of PDF within the notes without re-uploading the file? Or maybe I am just missing something.

I would like to be able to do this from my phone - easily and quickly... Downloading, rotating and re-uploading just seems like redundant labor for the user...

Please update your answer as it has been two years since your response... and we all know that this translates to decades in app development ;)

I will greatly appreciate an update on this. Thanks.
