Public Link Sharing Doesn't Work At All

Just this week, my ability to share public links has completely ceased to exist. I understand the new method for getting shareable links and setting permissions - that is not the issue (see screenshot for settings on a note currently experiencing this issue). When I share the link, it opens in a browser window which takes the user to a login screen and not the note (see second screenshot). Opening in a private window yields the same result. I've tried changing the sharing permissions and then changing them back, which still did not fix it. Those were both "fixes" I saw in other threads about this/similar problem online.

I send these notes to my clients every week and use them to collaborate on a variety of things. I can't/won't require them to sign up for Evernote so if I can't find a way to fix this, I'll just cancel my Evernote subscription, which I really don't want to do. Has anyone else had this problem and found a way to fix it?

Ashley, I just tried and I can share notes without issue.  To be clear about what's working for me, I open a note and click on the blue "share" button in the upper right corner of the screen.  That copies a link to the clipboard.  I then open a different browser in incognito mode (so the browser wouldn't have any idea that I have an Evernote subscription) and I paste the note into the address bar.  The note opens fine using a lite.evernote.com URL.  I put a screen shot of what I get below.

So, I think you should be able to use the share button go get a URL, and then distribute that URL to others.  The "lite.evernote..." URS should open for them even if they don't have an account.  BTW, this functionality was introduced somewhat recently, I believe, so if you haven't updated your client in a while, it may be time to do that.  I am on the Windows client, 10.116.3.

This looks like the same thing as https://www.reddit.com/r/Evernote/comments/1gwjfkl/public_link_sharing_problem_is_driving_me_nuts/ which has been solved.

Per the reddit OP:

Update: We fixed the issue. For whatever reason none of my notes were published correctly. Evernote says it probably failed and then could not render. They had me reset the permissions to 'Restricted' and then set them back to 'Anyone with the link can view' and that fixed it. I had tried resetting the permissions, before, but had reset it to 'can edit' and then back to 'can view', which didn't work. Apparently restricting it and then unrestricting it DOES work. Just FYI in case anyone else runs into this.

(Guessing we couldn't see this discussion forum post until just barely because of first time poster status or something.)
