karmajinpa 7 Posted November 14 Posted November 14 I installed the Chrome web clipper but I don't see the elephant in the toolbar. I've checked Chrome extensions and it's supposedly active, but where's the elephant? M2 chip, Sequoia 15.1
Level 5 PinkElephant 9,015 Posted November 15 Level 5 Posted November 15 Did you restart Chrome once ? Can't check, using Safari and Firefox as backup. Both are ok with showing the icon.
karmajinpa 7 Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 Thanks for the response. I've got the elephant but no web clipper in Chrome. It's there in Safari. I googled how to use web clipper in Chrome. I was instructed to click on the elephant. However, when I do that it takes me to a quick note. I checked settings, extensions and it's there and active. How can I get web clipper?
Level 5 PinkElephant 9,015 Posted November 15 Level 5 Posted November 15 The elephant in the MacOS menu bar has nothing to do with the Web Clipper. It is a screen clipper and quick note extension for the installed app. The web clipper needs to be installed as browser extension in the browser - in each browser again.
karmajinpa 7 Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 Thanks again. I've attached a screenshot showing that the extension is downloaded, please see remove from Chrome. I just can't see it.
Jon/t 1,750 Posted November 15 Posted November 15 In chrome based browsers you can have an extension activated and also hidden from the menu bar. In extensions there should be a way to hide and show them. Not on desktop right now so can't screen grab it.
karmajinpa 7 Posted November 15 Author Posted November 15 Yeah! Got it!!! Many thanks to you and Pink Elephant. 1
