Barry Graham 68 Posted November 7 Posted November 7 The "Scan" feature is broken for business cards While it does recognize business cards, it fails to extract the data from the card, and instead just waits forever until you delete the card or back out of the feature. I have reproduced this on two different phones with the same Evernote account (including installing Evernote from scratch on the second phone) and another different phone with a different Evernote account. So it seems to me that it just doesn't work. I opened a support case with Evernote, they claim to be looking at it but since I reported it weeks ago, and it's not listed anywhere as a known issue, I doubt whether they actually are. This was touted as a great new feature so why don't they want it to work?

It was a useful feature, but it seems it has been broken during Bending Spoon redesign of the app. It is a bit silly, in my opinion, working on new features when you broke the former ones: better to remove them...

Whether or not that means it will ever be fixed, I don't know. I can't see the point in including a feature they know is broken.
