For the past few days, note links in my Windows 11 desktop Evernote (just updated today to latest version) are not working properly.  They take me to a page with gray bars that seems to be forever loading, but never displaying the content.  See screenshot below.  Thanks for any thoughts .  .  .

@Jon/t Thanks for the response and suggestion.  Loging out and back in helps.  Some are working.  Some are not.  I do not discern any pattern.  Some work the first try, then fail on a second try.  All that I've been testing are recently created.  Beats me . . .

Hi!

I´m facing the same trouble whith using the latest actualization

So it seems to me some kind of issue resolving links

I noticed for example, if I follow the link that leads to a note witch is located in an specific folder, I can click the note bellow the required but on in that specific folder an then, click on the upper required one that this time appears quickly.

I think It may be a link issue or maybe something related with the  proccesor capacity and this is the reason why so many experts cant believe this kind of troubles.

Ticket ID: 4031314 - THE APP IS RUNNING SO SLOW

Hello there,

Thanks for reaching out to Evernote Customer Support.

To address the slow performance of the Evernote app, try the following steps:

  1. Update the Evernote App: Ensure you are using the latest version of the Evernote app, as updates often contain performance enhancements and bug fixes.

  2. Update Your Operating System: Verify that your operating system is up to date, as compatibility issues can sometimes contribute to performance problems.

  3. Restart the App or Device: Restarting the Evernote app or your device can resolve temporary performance issues.

  4. Check Internet Speed: Slow internet speeds can affect Evernote's performance, especially when syncing.

  5. High CPU Usage Fix (if applicable): If you are using a computer with an Nvidia GPU, you can try the following:

    • Right-click on the Evernote shortcut on your desktop or in the Start menu.
    • Select Properties.
    • In the Target field, add --disable-gpu at the end of the line (make sure to leave a space before adding it).
    • Click OK to save the changes.

If the issue persists, consider exporting your activity logs right after experiencing the slowdown and noting the exact time (including timezone) when the issue occurred. This information can help further investigation.

I'm one of the lucky ones having no problems with 10.114.2 and everything is now loading correctly. No grey bars anymore.

Hi Mike!
Nice to meet you
Wonderful news
Can you tell me the secret?
I guess it could be on the number and size of notes (the database size as a matter of fact) and the processor performance
Would you please give that data?
Regards

I have no idea why it is now working for me. Notes often weren't loading in 10.113 but everthing seems ok with 10.114.2. I have a moderately sized data base (approx 7k notes) and a pretty hi spec pc with good internet.
