RENT metadata sync make Evernote team performance more slow

Recommended Posts

After the old sync infrastructure was moved to RENT metadata sync, as a user for the Evernote team, Evernote's performance has not become faster, but has actually become slower!
We have been members of Evernote teams since 2017 and our number of notes is now around 89K.
Every time we open a note with a table in it, it always starts with a rotation of the icon for around 30 seconds to 1 minute (sometimes it can be longer)!!!
When typing in a note, there is also a long and unpleasant lag that we feel when using Evernote
It really interferes with our work speed.

Do you feel the same way as us?

I drive a Teams and a Professional account (on Windows) in parallel and cannot see a difference between them (but we do not use tables very often). It's by far not as fast as we all hope to get it (in comparison to good old Legacy 😉) - but it becomes better.

I also think contacting support is a good option because one of the first questions on page Submit a request is about your account type. Teams account holders should get some priority 🙏.

Heloo all,

Thank you for replying.

I confirm done contact Evernote support and ask them.

As you known that they are very rarely responsive or provide helpful answers lately.

So we also ask here and who knows, maybe one of you can provide a good solution fo us.

The usual drill is to completely uninstall, using Revo Uninstaller (PC) or AppCleaner (Mac). Then restart the computer, download fresh, log in and let it open for a while, to allow the initial download.

But this is for individual accounts. No idea if it has the same impact when executed for a Team account.

Then you need to go through support.

When they answer, read the whole email. Usually in the lower part is advise what they need to proceed further.

And yes, this is slow, and often needs several mails to take you any further.
