Alxa 502 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 (edited) Hi, wow with 10.109.0 this bug has returned. Always, when I am in a notebook and apply a filter, let's say a tag I get results to this tag filter as if I was in "all notes" view. So if you have 15 notes in a notebook it could be you are seeing the correct 3 filtered notes but in addition 140 notes with this tag from other notebooks which show as if they were in this original notebook?! What a shame. I am feeling uneasy that those bugs come and go from release to release as if BS has lost control. As I never got an answer to my corresponding support ticket 😞 and could not find an explicit thread about this GUI issue, can someone confirm, that I am not the only one? Thank you. Edited October 10 by Alxa Refreshed thread title according to actual state of the GUI bug (EN 10.110.1) 2
Mike P 3,058 Posted September 28 Posted September 28 I can confirm that this is the same for me (10.109.0). I can only get the correct results if I start from "Notes" and then filter by both the tag and the notebook. I also notice that the number of notes listed after filtering is either the number of notes in the notebook or in "Notes". This is unhelpful and completely different from the desktop and web versions which give the number of notes in the filtered list. 1 1
Eck23 0 Posted October 8 Posted October 8 Same. But when I start from "Notes" and set the filter then no filtering. Strange, because there is the filter icon on top. I have to activate the searche first without typing anything in the search box, then apply the filter "notebook" and "tag" and then it works.
Alxa 502 Posted October 10 Author Posted October 10 I did another test dive with EN 10.110.1 today. Results: Filtering for tags in "All Notes" or note book view leads to zero results now not even the messy results I raised this thread for. As @Eck23found out, the only way to filter via tag is when using the search field (within a notebook or all notes). Still nothing mentioned about that GUI bug on the bugfix tracker. 2024 and we are still using Evernote via workarounds. That's how the promised quality and performance first approach of Bending Spoon looks in reality. 👏🏻
Level 5 PinkElephant 9,003 Posted October 10 Level 5 Posted October 10 Just for the diversion: On iOS selecting a tag does not exclude any note from showing. Instead it works like a sort-filter: First come all the notes in the list having the selected tag, and then ALL the others. I wonder whether someone invents all the different ways of NOT delivering correct results in a brainstorming, then using the next X releases to play them all.
