(Archived) Search is hiding from a newbie

When I first installed Evernote I entered some notes and searched them using Ctrl-Cmd-F . Recently, search has stopped working and I don't recall the appearance of the Evernote window from back when it did work. Entering Ctrl-Cmd-F brings up an Evernote window listing my notes on the left, and on the right a variety of things including (from top right) boxes displaying "Reset", "Welcome to Evernote", "Author", and "Note History" but nothing that looks or acts like a search key box. What really obvious thing am I missing?

Check under: View > Show Toolbar

My guess is that you accidentally hid the toolbar, which contains the search box.

Afterthought -- when the user enters a Cntrl-Cmd-F , it would make sense for Evernote to set View->Show Toolbar ON.
