Paddy Paddy 19 Posted September 11, 2024 Posted September 11, 2024 Right now, I can't "copy" the contents of the Table Of Contents (which is automatically generated). Since the TOC rolls up the main headings of a note, it would be helpful to be able to copy and paste the contents for use elsewhere

Now, while you can copy and paste the ToC within the same note, you can't put it elsewhere or into another app. A work around might be to take a screen shot and paste the screen shot wherever you need it. I experimented with using the transcribe function to give me the text but for some reason the transcribe process ignored the numbers and letters, so would still need some editing. UPDATE. If you then copy and paste the transcribed text into a numbered list you only have to manually add a few <tabs> to get the same indentation as the original.
0 Wilf Forrow 15 Posted September 13, 2024 Posted September 13, 2024 On my Mac, I use the brilliant TextSniper to scrape text off the screen with OCR, and it works well, although obviously you lose the links and you have to re-input the tab indentation. I'm sure Windows has similar tools.
0 Level 5 PinkElephant 9,253 Posted September 13, 2024 Level 5 Posted September 13, 2024 My screen shooter of choice Shottr (Mac) has beside many other capabilities a tool to select a section of the screen, OCR it and send the result to the clipboard. It worked perfectly on the new TOC. Problem solved.
