Michael V. 1
We are heavy users of Evernote, perhaps testing the product beyond its capabilities, with everyone in my 14 person office dependent on the product. Most of us are on Macs and all of the sudden people have found that the program, if closed, won't reopen (you see the dancing icons for ages and then, perhaps, eventually get an error message). Those who have been able to get the app to open, have found notebooks missing or, today, notebooks that were published as "edit and invite" are now "view only." I'm now unable to use Evernote on my MacBook Air (a new machine with loads of memory) as App won't fully launch. And I can't log in through Safari or Chrome browsers either (progress bar stops advancing once almost to right side of screen). My office iMac works fine still, but it's running an older version of the app. Not sure if this is a major bug in new app or, is it possible that our database is too big and starting to push Evernote to its limits (I think we have over 200,000 notes with hundreds of tags). No clue. We're mainly other users and mostly subscribers here - if you're the Admin of your account you should have a contact for Support; if not see here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/29101069844371-How-to-contact-Evernote-Support This may be the reason things have changed... https://evernote.com/blog/rent-metadata-sync Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,730 Posted September 5 Level 5 Share Posted September 5 On none of my Macs I had relevant problems. The start screen showed the optimization process for a few minutes, and then the app launched as always. Since then it launches right away. When a setup shows signs of corruption on a client, the usual fix is to uninstall using the App AppCleaner, then restart the Mac. Reinstall the client, log in. That's for an individual setup. No idea for the "Business" plan. The admin of the Business setup can access Business support. Maybe they have still another idea. Link to comment
