This morning, I attempted to use Evernote as usual, but when I clicked on "All Notes" it wouldn't take me to my list of all of my notes, it was still just stuck on the last note I opened. After doing some Googling, I decided to sign out and sign back in. However, when I tried to sign back in, it just said "Can't connect to server. Please try again." I managed to sign in on my phone instead and found a completely different looking Evernote, and my most recent app was from the 20th November 2023, despite the fact I made a note just a couple of days ago. I then updated my Windows version of Evernote which then allowed me to log-in, but again, Evernote was now completely different and my most recent note was from November.
It's clear that due to this update, the notes from past this date now seem to be nowhere to be found. The log-in information is 100% correct so that isn't the issue. Evernote now also seems to be trying to get me to sign-up to a paid plan, despite me using it for free up until this point when I needed to log-out. I am presuming my notes haven't been syncing since November 2023 which is why it is able to locate them up until that point, but if this is the case I should be able to find the notes locally in my local files, but I'm not even able to do this, so for all intents and purposes it is as if these notes just never existed. I have made a lot of notes since this point, many of them holding extremely important information, and so I can't accept just losing them. I have contacted support and am waiting to hear from them on whether they are able to restore these notes, but I was wondering if anyone on here has any advice or has faced a similar situation before.
It would be extremely poor if these notes are now just gone forever, as they need to be being stored somewhere, either in the cloud or within my local files, I don't see how they could have just disappeared entirely. It was running fine up until this morning when it wouldn't allow me to see all of my notes, so I'm not sure what the issue is.
