The bottom menu disappears

I open the app, select Notes, edit a note, accept the changes, go back, and on the main screen, the bottom menu is no longer visible

I'm using a Motorola G20 phone.

This is a known issue. It is in the backlog for attention. The solution in the meantime is to swipe close the app and restart.

Since my previous post I have noticed that I don't seem to be experiencing this issue since receiving Evernote for Android 10.101.2  I haven't attempted to test this to destruction but by usual use doesn't appear to have the issue arising.

The bottom menu is disappearing quite frequently even on 10.103.0 still. Reproduce: from "create" screen go to "notes", open a note, edit the note and click "back" in the upper left corner. You are back in all-notes but the bottom menu disappeared and does not come back until restart. Although a major UI flaw obviously not of that much interest to development, since this is not even on the bug fix tracker of being worked at. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Just did the update to EN 10.104.0 which says that a fix for this bug is included. And yes: The bottom menu now does not disappear anymore after you edit a note 👍...but, when pressing the back button (formerly the tick-icon to save the note) the whole note is scrolled to the bottom and the text editor menu remains on the screen until you leave the note completely. One bug solved, 2 new bugs introduced. 🤦‍♀️

Thanks for all this, @Alxa and @agsteele. I'd been experiencing the disappearing bottom menu for months (and also the top menu covering half of the first note in the list). Installing v. 104.1 fixed it (after I left it running all night while the colored images bounced and twirled as the app did whatever it did on updating). The menu display errors are gone.

I do see the text editing menu remaining at the bottom when pressing Back after an edit, but that's expected. As you say, the tick/check icon to confirm and close editing is now a Back icon. 😝 So pressing it once closes the editing but leaves the menu at bottom, which I think was the case with the tick/check icon too (though I could be wrong). Then you have to press Back again to get back to the main screen, also as before.

The point of changing the tick/check with Back is extremely unclear. If it means that syncing is now so automatic and consistent that no tap on an icon is needed to confirm the editing, that's fine, but then only one tap on Back should be needed.
