Spaces for Professionals

Westt03

Idea

It would make a lot of sense for me if Evernote did Spaces for professional or allowed teams for 1 person. I am happy to pay the extra to have Spaces for one seat but not two. Spaces is a great way to organize and keep things from notebooks in one place.

I run a business with just me in it. It would be great to have the spaces feature so I can have one for business, personal, church and any other one I wish to. Would be a great way to break down the ability to deep focus or work in a specific area and have that be the focus and catchment area.

I love what spaces brings to the table and the view and setup for me would be amazing.

Options that I see:

  1. Subscribe to a Business account, and use different „virtual“ users for your demand.
  2. Group your notebooks into stacks, use the advanced search syntax to exclude certain stacks from searches ( -stack:mystackname ). Use saved searches to automate the approach.
  3. Create Free accounts, share notebooks from your paid account to them. Shared notes don’t count against the Free limit. Other limits apply.
  4. Open another paid account, use sharing between the two.

Each method has it’s ups and downs. You need to decide for yourself.

What will IMHO NOT happen is that a key feature of Business accounts will be swapped over to the personal accounts. This would economically a shot into the foot, by allowing to run a EN Business style structure on the cheap.

I agree that Spaces makes it far easier to organize, navigate, and collaborate on notes related to different projects and clients. It would be fantastic to see it come to the Pro level but I don't think EN will do that unless or until they decide to eliminate Teams.

I'd love to see something like this. I could create spaces for separate clients or larger projects.

Also would love to see separate home screens. Switch to a client home or project home where the widgets are unique for that client/project.

@Jon/t, it strikes me that your suggestions would make a lot of sense for the Professional (for a one-seat application) and Teams (for multi-seat uses), and still provide meaningful differentiation between Personal and Teams subscriptions.  It would certainly be helpful to me in my one-person consulting retirement hustle.
