(Archived) Show/Hide unuseful Evernote icon from Dock Bar

Hi all,

Today I discover Evernote, and after 10 minutes using it, I found the first anyoning feature.

What about an option to hide the icon from dock bar? I don't like applications force me to using in any way and specially force to show icons really don't do something useful. I like the option to show or hide the elephant icon on menu bar (I think it's the natural way how to work this kind of applications) but, anyone can explain me why I'm forced to see everytime an icon in my doc bar don't do anything?

What about an option to show or hide dock icon?

You can hide dock icon using a little app named dockless.

This app modify info.plist inside Evernote container to force not show icon on dockbar. But your lose access to Evernote Menu Bar.

Just for clarification, hiding the icons of running apps in the Dock is not part of the standard Mac UI (hence the need for an additional program). This is not limited to Evernote.

Also having it there allows a user to Force Quit if necessary (without having to go to the Finder menu or Activity Monitor) - useful for less than tech savvy users.
