Compound Searches have erratic responses

Since I started using Evernote more frequently this year, I've noticed some issues. 

For example, When I do a compound search 
notebook:actions-pending intitle:exercise

The search results ignore my notebook selection and show all notes that contain exercise in any note title.

Windows 11, version 23H2

I've just tried a similar search and got th expected results. What happens if you try the web version. If it's ok there, you may just need a database refresh (sign out and choose to not keep the data)

It shouldn't be necessary but I might try enclosing actions-pending in quotation marks just in case EN is choosing to ignore the dash or something.
