vedoveli 0
Dear all, hope this finds you well. I am writing this because I gave up on getting an answer from Evernote technical support team--my first submitted request on this was 9 months ago and I have never received a reply from them. I am a long-time user of Evernote and have accumulated a considerable number of notes that reflect my worker as a researcher and a historian. These notes are crucial for my ability to work and contain material from the past 10 year. Since last year I noticed that some notes' images appear as loading (or do not appear at all)--please see below. I tried restoring earlier versions of these notes, and the problem persists. It is possible that I lost with this months of work and data that I cannot easily recover (if at all). Can someone please help me? I would be very grateful. I am also considering migrating my notes to a different, more reliable app if this issue is not fixed. Any tips also on contacting Evernote by chat or phone? Thanks! Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,066 Posted August 14 Level 5* Share Posted August 14 Hi. Access to support is purely by email here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - but if you still have access to your notes, earlier versions - including any currently missing images - may be available here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313858-Use-note-history-to-view-older-versions-of-a-note Link to comment
vedoveli 0
Dear gazumped, thank you so much for taking the time to reply to my request. I have sent several messages to evernote via their email in the link you suggest--the oldest one is 9-months old!--and I only got automatic messages. They never replied to my follow up messages letting them know I have tried everything they suggested in their automatic replies. I have also recovered the earlier versions of my notes, and they have the same problem. Perhaps I am missing something? Link to comment
thefryhole 97
A search of the forums for "spinning circles" will net you several threads on this. It's been going on for a while. One EN employee participated in one thread, where they hunted down specific notes for a few specific people to restore the missing content, and in some cases were successful but in others were not. There was also talk of trying to find a more universal fix but I don't think I ever saw any progress on that. If you can connect with that one EN employee who seems to know about the problem, perhaps they can help you with this. Their posts are a few pages into this thread if you want to try that route. Good luck. Link to comment
Jon/t 1,659
Try logging into Evernote web and seeing if you get the same issue with the notes. Also check all your notes are there. If everything looks OK on the web try a log out and back in again. See if that fixes it. Final solution would be to fully delete Evernote from your Mac and reinstall it using something like app cleaner. Link to comment
