Tag Filter Not Working

I have 168 notes under a tag, but is only returning 3 in "filter by tag".

Its a known issue and they are looking into it.

There's another post somewhere with similar issues. Hopefully a fix will come soon.

Workaround is to do a tag: <tag name> standard search.

To be specific, try putting a single full stop in the search and press enter.

Exactly the same problem. It seems that there notes with tags which behave as it they don't have these tags at all. I have switched to the online version believing it's an application issue but in vain. This issue, if not solved quickly, it will make EN completely useless. I have more than 18000 notes and I can't use them!

I share your frustration but I think you might be over reacting. As workarounds go, adding a period to the search bar and pressing enter is not too onerous.

All well and good but that does not fix issue of tags used as shortcuts not displaying notes :

For example tag Bluehost assigned to 3 notes and shortlisted as above yet they do not display

a search term tag:"bluehost"displays the three notes.

If someone has Evernotes ear perhaps they would like to tell them they have hobbled many peoples systems- get it fixed

As explained in the referenced thread and elsewhere in this thread.

• Filter by tag. This can be done in any way you choose including the tag being a shortcut
• The list of notes displayed has the correct number of notes given (e.g. 6 notes) but does not display all of the notes

• Go into the search field, press period and enter - all the notes are now displayed.

But this really pisses me off right now... sorry for the expression.  My whole structure is based on neested tags.... 
I've been dealing with private stuff in Obsidian for a few months, if this doesn't get resolved in a few days.... Evernote is ending for me and I'm going to start migrating the company as well..

Of course. I have always said this is a workaround - a temporary way of coping until they fix it, which I am confident that they will as this is an issue with RENT which is definitely flavour of the month.
