chuckkahn 4
Hello Evernote Community, I've encountered several challenges after updating Evernote. I transitioned from the App Store version 10.98.3 (which wasn't listed in the App Store's version history; the last version listed was 10.97.4) to a direct download of version 10.100.1 from Evernote’s website. This move was initially to address high CPU usage issues at startup but led to new unexpected problems. Issue Description: Post-update, the "Sync folders" feature was non-functional. Checking the settings revealed that all previously selected folders were unlisted. After re-adding a folder, the list of selected folders initially showed as blank and took several minutes to update. Evernote then began resyncing all 1,053 files in the folder, not just the new files that hadn't been synced since the last App Store installation. Additionally, other settings such as note width ("fit to window") had been reset to their default values, indicating a broader issue with settings retention post-update. Questions for the Community: Has anyone else experienced similar issues with their sync settings being reset or other preferences defaulting after an update? Are there known fixes or workarounds to prevent settings from reverting and to ensure that only new files are synced rather than resyncing the entire folder content? These issues have significantly impacted my workflow, and I'm keen to hear if others are facing similar challenges and how they are managing them. Any advice or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! Link to comment
rbianchi 66
Hi chuckkahn I haven't installed that 10.100.1 version, but I've had issues with folders not syncing with previous versions. However, when adding the folders again, only the new files are synced, not all the existing ones. Link to comment
