Since Legacy Client You Can No Longer Continue Importing Content Until Monthly Upload Quota Resets... WHY?

Idea

Hi,

I've been using Evernote (Mac + iOS client since 2012).  Back when the 'Legacy' Mac Client was available you were able to add files/ import content beyond what would exceed your monthly upload quota.  You'd get a notice that you could still add content but that it wouldn't sync to Evernote Servers when your monthly quota resets for uploading.

Now, in the current/ latest and greatest Mac client the files simply stop importing after the amount of data that syncs will max out your quota.  Example:  If I have 1GB of quota left and try to import a 1.5GB ENEX file the file will import the first 1GB of data and then simply stop saying that you've run out of space.  Why cannot I import the remaining amount (so that it will only reside locally until my quota resets and the remainder will sync 'next month')???

This seems to be a step backward in terms of functionality to say the least....
