nigelrumsey 17
Hi all I work in technical support. I search thousands of notes multiple times daily. I have about 50 saved searches, which worked really well for me up to about two weeks ago. I now get strange behaviour: the first time I select a saved search, it returns all my notes. Then, the second time, it works as before. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? Mac desktop app. 10.98.3-mac-ddl-public (20240725174632) Editor: v178.18.2 Service: v2.2.10 Link to comment

Adding a search to an existing filtered list has been problematic for a while. Progress has been made but if I add a search when there is a filtered list initially it ignores the search. Clicking back into the search field and pressing enter again gives the correct results. If your saved searches are a mixture of text and "filters" the two issues may be closely related. 1 Link to comment
iceman melb 24
Yes same issue with search. It hasn't been working well for a while for me. One recent example "reminderTime:day -reminderTime:day+1 -reminderdonetime:*" should only show results for today but because Searches now ignore the time zone difference, Im now also getting stuff that is due tomorrow. TAGs doesn't show up on my first search but appears on the 2nd. Im just doing the same search twice just to make sure. Is my temporary work around. Im surprise the guys at Bending spoon haven't discovered that issue yet. Perhaps its a hard fix? 2 Link to comment
silb 4
I'm having the same issue where it just brings up either all my notes or the notebook I was currently on the first time, then the correct search results the second time. I reported it a couple of weeks ago and did get a response (unlike the several other reports I've raised recently!) saying they'd re-index my account their end, but no resolution as of yet. nigelrumsey 17
We've had a flurry of updates recently. I was hoping one of those would resolve this problem, but they haven't for me at least. 😞 Link to comment

silb 4
Just replying to say I finally got round to trying a clean reinstall for this issue. No joy, I still need to run a save search twice for it to work, time to chase up support I guess! Link to comment

There is an issue that when you search a filtered list you need to enter the search term twice. I wonder if this is related. However I just tried saving a search like this and it worked fine when I then ran the saved search. Have you tried saving the search again? Link to comment

If I run the search when I am in another notebook (clicking "Everywhere" first so that I can see the saved searches) the search fails first time and works when repeated. So an alternative workaround is to always start from "Notes". Link to comment
silb 4
Yes this is basically where I'm at, I too noticed that it works fine first time if I run the search when I'm viewing all notes rather than a specific notebook. It's not a huge deal, it's one extra click either way but still a bit irritating. Link to comment
