Unable to Add New Tag

I've been using Evernote for several years, just for personal use - a gardening journal, a fitness journal, logs of various road trips we have taken etc.

All of a sudden it won't let me add a new tag.  I thought there might be a maximum number of tags, so I deleted some that weren't used much but it still won't let me add a tag.

I've started a new fitness challenge and wanted to create a new tag for those posts, but it won't let me.  Has the process changed or is there a reason I'm not aware of?

Not that I'm aware of - what device and OS/ Evernote version numbers do you have?  How many notes / tags?

Well, lo and behold, after struggling with it for over a week, the tag magically appeared this morning.  

I have Evernote 10.98.3 on my Mac desktop with Sonoma 14.5.  and Evernote 10.98.2 on my iPad

Now I'm getting another issue.  I'll have a look and see if someone else has brought it up already.
