However, I rewrote some of it to apply just to the thread.Personally, I don't think that seeing markup is all that necessary. It really just comes down to making the wysiwyg editor work better. Wordpad and Text Edit don't need to show markup because they always behave as you'd expect.I would suggest you also strip the bullet and space characters from the beginning of any lines when you see them, because sometimes they are < ul > < / ul > tags and sometimes they are text. It's not Evernote's fault, but it would be nice if you handled it. It's not a huge deal either way.In my opinion, the closer you get to OS X's Text Edit or Windows' Wordpad, the better. I know that's easier said than done, but I also know you have good programmers--Evernote is a very sleek program. Link to comment
