Evernote new user: Please develop the search function better

In terms of searching for notes and cross-platform in different file forms, this is the best app I have found so far. Search is my most recommended function!

 

I have only recently started to try different note-taking software with search functions, and I am also a newbie of Evernote. The following are my suggestions and experiences:

 

# Search:

 

1. OCR processes weak ：The traditional Chinese computer font and handwriting need to be strengthened. Even the computer font sometimes cannot be detected. Maybe because the background is still processing, sometimes it can't even be searched, but it does not show that it is still processing, so it will cause misunderstandings (uncertainty)
2. Searching UI and UX can improved ：The way the safari app search is presented on the search screen will be clearer （the darkness around the keyword yellow background） also after searching, it is hoped that you can directly jump into the text search.  Because it’s my purpose to  search. 
3. The search function hopes to be able to search even PDFs without OCR.
4. Cross-language content detection (at least there is no need to go to the web page to make detection changes)

 

# Tasks :

This function is really not as good as the built-in reminders of iOS.

 

# Calendar:

It is a good auxiliary for recording, but there is no need to do it more complicated, because it cannot replace the built-in calendar of iOS.

 

# AI function:

At present, any function is not practical. I would rather delete it. If it must be developed, you can help me sort out my notes. Don't simplify any content. ( AI weak maybe  I’m using Mandarin note )

 

# Community (here):

In the part of providing suggestions, it may be due to the design, and the opinions provided by everyone are scattered. It is difficult for me to be sure whether my idea can be seconded to which article. I have tried to check it, and it is very difficult .

 

# New user:

It is quite unfriendly for beginners, and it is bit hard to get shortcut key prompts from the software. (Need to search first )The computer Windows version and the mobile version are both, and some shortcuts are inconsistent with the actual operation instructions (for example, headline H1  , spaces need to be added in #)

 

# Payment Plan: I really can't see the attractiveness of the professional version from the web page. I feel that I have to use another software to assist, which is not attractive to me.

 

Finally, I hope Evernote can focus on the search function ,Instead of following the trend of the times, and too FOMO to become another featureless software.
