Changes to checkboxes

It used to be the Evernote iPhone app allowed checkboxes that when checked would be green, marked with an X, and the text would not be lined thru. 

 

Unfortunately, when you edited a list with these checkboxes, they would switch to having a check mark and the text would be lined thru. 

 

I don't want text to be lined thru!!!  Please fix this perhaps by, in settings, allow a user preference as to whether text should be lined thru or not.

There is an option to toggle text strike through on or off,, under notes, see attachement

Evernote's new checkbox feature is fantastic! It's now easier to organize tasks, track progress, and stay productive. Highly recommend trying it out!

You mean checkBOX or checkLIST ?

Boxes are from the blue + menu, Lists from the formatting menu.

BTW even checkboxes now show with a blue cross when checked.

Since the update, I have some checkboxes that fill with an X, and some that fill with a checkmark and are lined through.  How do I get them all to fill with the X?  It's very hard to read the lined through text on my Samsung Galaxy Note Active 2.  I've tried to find something that shows a difference in the box designations, but I'm finding nothing.
