Tag rename and tag merge

I need to be able to rename a tag to an exisitng tag
example
I have a tag called sample and sample1
I need to rename sample1 to sample and the app should replace all sample1 to sample
This is very good in pocket bookmark tags mgm

Where is your problem ? Just do it.

Click on tag "Sample 1". You get a list of notes with this tag.

Select the notes, apply "Sample" to the selection.

After you tagged all notes with "Sample", you can delete the tag "Sample 1". This will remove it from all notes.

Remark: If the tag "Sample" already exists, it would be a very bad design if you could change the name "Sample 1" simply to "Sample". In a proper database it should never be possible to name an object the same as an already existing object.
