Thinks I am over the limit on notes

I have a free account. I have one notebook, only 20 notes, and am trying to create a new note. Every time I do, I get an error saying I am over the limit of the free account settings of 1 notebook and 50 notes. I will have to upgrade in order to create anything new. Nothing works! I have seen the inquiries online for this and tried to fix it. I can't find a recycle bin to empty. I don't have any extra notebooks out there snagging it up. I don't need an upgraded account. What do I do?? This is a huge defect, or a seriously bad way to get people to pay for services!!

Notes in the trash count against the limit as well. Check if there are trashed notes. If yes, empty the trash.

In general Free is a trial, not build for sustained use.

I can't find a recycle bin to empty.

Tap on the Account emoji/icon. Select Trash. Tap the three dot button and empty trash.
