View of calendar entries

In the calendar view I cannot setup 2 views:

• some calendar entries are shown as expected - some other hatched
  I do not find anyreason for the different views
• the time entries do not use 24 - hours - format - where to setup?

Any idea how to change this views?

Nothing attached here - don't know why some views might be hatched.  Yes,  the time settings are (currently) am/ pm - no settings to change yet.
