Excited Evernote User 26
Hi All, Evernote app on my computer, both on my Windows and Mac computer, doesn’t open the appolication when I click on the evernote icon. Tried already to uninstall, download the latest version on the website and re-install and still doesnt work. The problem started to occur mid this week (think around Wed/Thrs 3 or 4th of July). Could not found any public announcement on X (twitter) or otherwise that this is an issue and looked into so I wanted to raise it here to see if this is just my issue or other users have similar issues. Pls let me know if you know anything more about it or how I can get this fixed for myself. Do not know more I can do on my end. Best, cjm 2 Link to comment

Did you use Appcleaner and Revo to uninstall? That will do a more thorough job and tends to fix problems where a standard uninstall doesn’t. Link to comment
HeleneT 0
Uninstall Evernote Then you can try and go to the ~/Library folder of your mac. If you delete all files that have evernote in their name and reinstall Evernote after that, it might work again. Link to comment

Level 5 PinkElephant 8,829 Posted July 8 Level 5 Share Posted July 8 Wipe the install using AppCleaner, restart, reinstall. If there is a way to avoid this, we have not yet discovered it. Link to comment

Glee 1
I am having the same issue as of this morning. Clicking on the Evernote app on my mac - the application loads, but NEVER loads any notes / windows. I have tried: 1. Reload 2. Force Reload 3. Downloaded latest Evernote client and reinstalled. Same symptoms. I am running Evernote 10.95.5 on Mac Pro (M2 Chip) with Sonoma 14.4.1 >>>>> UPDATE I used AppCleaner to remove all vestigates of Evernote, then reinstalled. It appears this brought the app back to life again and is loading. But still appears to be a bug in the latest update process? Edited July 8 by Glee Updated facts Link to comment
Nina Gava 0
Hi there, I'm having an issue with my Evernote app on my desktop. Since last week, the app doesn't open when I double-click the Evernote icon. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times, but it didn't help. I also cleared the cache and deleted all data, but the issue persists. Link to comment
Mike White 0
I have the same problem. Evernote are you working on a solution? Link to comment
Excited Evernote User 26
Thanks all - is there an appcleaner version for windows as well? Do you have a link for a trusted/ safe download? best Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,829 Posted July 8 Level 5 Share Posted July 8 Revo Uninstaller Both AppCleaner and Revo are free to download and use. CleanMyMac is controversial and not recommended by most Apple experts (probably except those who make a cut promoting it). Link to comment
