Hi,

I have been facing numerous issues at Evernote, mainly due to speed issues, over a long period of time.

I just need a simple note taking app that syncs across devices and is fast, and it would be nice if I could share with my wife (she barely uses and didnt want to pay subscription so she is already off evernote)

I am looking for:

1) Suggestions for fast apps that sync well, search well, and can handle basic sharing, but also something I can migrate my existing notes to

2) How do I migrate to something else quickly?

Thanks!

Hello,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your note-taking app isn’t performing well. Here are some suggestions for fast, reliable note-taking apps that sync across devices and support basic sharing:

1. Suggestions for Note-Taking Apps
Microsoft OneNote: A versatile and free app that syncs across all devices. It supports sharing and has robust search capabilities.
Google Keep: Known for its speed and simplicity, Google Keep allows easy sharing and syncing across devices.
Simplenote: True to its name, Simplenote is fast and efficient, with excellent syncing and sharing features.
Notion: Offers powerful organization and sharing features, and it syncs well across devices. It’s great for both personal and collaborative use.
Joplin: An open-source option that supports syncing and sharing. It’s also great for migrating existing notes.

2. How to Migrate Your Notes
Migrating your notes can be straightforward with the right steps:

Export from Evernote:
Open Evernote and select the notes you want to export.
Go to File > Export Notes.
Choose ENEX format (Evernote’s export format).
Import to New App:
Microsoft OneNote: Use the OneNote Importer tool to import your ENEX files.
Google Keep: Unfortunately, Google Keep doesn’t support direct import from Evernote. You might need to manually copy-paste important notes.
Simplenote: Import ENEX files using third-party tools or manually copy-paste.
Notion: Import ENEX files directly into Notion using its import feature.
Joplin: Directly import ENEX files into Joplin.

Hope this will help you.

Best Regards,

Check out UpNote, https://getupnote.com/

Works much better and faster than Evernote. Can easily import Evernote data. It's cheap. Nice UI.

In my case, it's just missing a bit more advanced task functionality than it has now, otherwise i would jump over there right away.
