The recent revisions of Evernote app for Android, and for the windows interface, it seems to privilege the idea of creating notes more than accessing them. And in fact, the newest version on the Android app just took away my shortcuts link in the bottom bar. And all of the GUI interface on the startup page in the app is dedicated to creating.
So how about a customization option that lets the user choose to display their notes as the startup page? With a tags and a shortcut link option at the top? Rather than going with a design philosophy that seems aimed with the idea that users more often create notes, rather than access them.
