A few months ago, I dedicated several days to drafting suggestions for new features to be discussed here in this forum. Many of them were debated, others were praised, and to my delight, several are being implemented – albeit insufficiently. However, I would like to suggest some features that, in my opinion, will make a significant difference in many people’s workflow.
Text selection in images: Evernote needs to implement this feature.
Facilitate linking to other notes’ contents with an easier shortcut: it doesn’t seem useful that Evernote uses a bar, but rather something simpler like an at symbol (@). This way, it would be easier to link notes and even reference specific files that are in another note, or even synchronize specific blocks.
Improvement in the management of multiple windows, both on Mac/PC and iOS/iPadOS/Android: Currently, Evernote windows are chaotic and difficult to organize. I urge you to think of a solution for this!
Integration and journaling: Based on geolocation, YouTube history, browsing history, and other metrics, I suggest that Evernote, through AI, creates a log of activities we have performed on our devices. This will allow us to know what we did each day without much effort. For those concerned about privacy, I believe this feature should be well-implemented and optional.
AI transcription of audio and videos: I know this is expensive and complex, but I believe it will be essential for facilitating information retrieval, transforming Evernote into a reliable repository.
Enhancement of the “files” section: many of the files we add to Evernote are not actual files, but rather parts of a text, illustrations, tables, and the like are not always useful or should be accessed separately from their context. Therefore, I would like to suggest that we have more control over which files should appear in the files window. In my view, this is a great feature, but it needs improvement.
Hey everyone, what do you think of these suggestions? To me, the first three are urgent.
