Fetch users on Evernote via the API

Recommended Posts

Compliance automation platforms must run periodic compliance and security checks across all the SaaS apps an organization uses. To automate this, they need to be able to fetch the list of users and any associated permissions for those users via an API.

Can you please add an API endpoint to the API to allow us to do this? This is urgent. It'll ensure that there are no lapses.

Just some thoughts...
Organizations that have strict(er) compliance policies allow/disallow the use of any (free|foreign) software at all. In any case they have tools to check whether and what software runs on client maschines. It should be easy to count starts and stops of Evernote.exe to collect this information together with user identification data on a central place. Why should to application itself talk to these services?

The use of Evernote in a business (Teams-) account is not dynamic - an admin has to order licenses and supply users with permissions. Do you really need to admin/control his doing?

Using personal EN licenses in bigger organizations is often forbidden - not only because the software itself might be buggy or infected. Especially software that uses (own) cloud services are often disallowed because of this ("Company's data outside our rooms?" - NoGo...). Is it allowed in yours?

But hey - there is a problem if a company uses Teams accounts: It has to be allowed to install and run the EN app. But you cannot avoid to use it with personal EN accounts also. So you're right: it would be fine to have a posibility to track this... 😉
