Green backlinks turned blue and destroyed 10,000s of my notes

wav

Idea

know other threads have mentioned this. A critical feature thats has been around since the beginning of Evernote has completely disappeared. GREEN BACKLINKS. Having green backlinks differentiated from blue hyperlinks is a serious workflow differentiation.
now this must be a bug because a feature adds something that benefits the user. Has bending spoons given an official word on why they are doing this or if they are fixing it?

I have tried contacting support and feedback and legal, and bending spoons as well and they will not give me anything beyond a nonsense generated reply. I am at the point using our company’s attorneys, as may get us further as this is causing my company actual monetary damages.

It isn't a bug. It is intentional. Different colours have been selected for different indications. Blue is used for ALL links.

If you are unhappy I'd recommend an Email to feedback@evernote.com

You won't get a reply but your input will be noted.

EDIT: blue for generic actions, green for notes and purple for tasks

Has anyone ever got a response when writing to that email? How do we know input will be noted - maybe all mails go directly in the trash?

Take it or leave it. We know it isn't a place to get a response. I'm happy that responses are noted. Your choice.

How do you know responses are noted if there is no response?

If this is indeed the case, then it seems to make perfect sense (to me at least) to have internal links to other notes green since they link to notes.

There is a huge difference between a hyperlink that might take me to any web page or external app or external link vs linking to another [internal] Evernote note.

🤷🏼‍♂️

If you hover over the link you indeed will find that internal links are green and external links are blue, at least on EN Web.

So it is less obvious but the distinct coloring is still there.

I guess the IOS/Android version is behind, as e.g. for collapsible headers, so there is still hope that the distinct coloring will finally arrive there, too.

On the other side, currently, one can clearly see on Mobile, if it is internal or external by looking at the link. Not so easy compared to different coloring but still a working solution, right?

It is the same on desktop: Hovering the mouse over a link will either show green (on internal) or blue (external links). Just at rest they all appear blue.
