I use Evernote to do groceries. I have a long list of items and that I uncheck as I run out of them at home, and check while I'm at the grocery store. I frequently accidentally miss the checkbox with my thumb, the note enters edit mode, and I need to cancel the edit. Sometimes I wind up making changes I didn't intended that I find later.
It seems I can't pinch and zoom anymore, to enlarge the check-box touch zone, but even that wasn't ideal, since I don't want the text to be larger.
I think the checkboxes are too small for one-handed usability, so with an option to checkboxes appear larger on notes that contain them, on mobile, it would improve the app's accessibility/usability and deal with this use.
A fallback option is a lock/unlock button or function to prevent the user from accidentally editing a note they were only reading or using as a checklist.
