Seems that Evernote subscription plans just changed. AI features (AI Edit and AI Search) and also In-note encryption are now only included in "Professional" and "Teams" 😮

I don't know if this is a mistake or maybe takes effect later but I have a personal subscription and can still encrypt notes

Hrm - and (if it wasn't a mistake) they'd have to allow decryption of encrypted content else we'd be locked out of part of our notes. Then would they not allow it to be edited or anything? Will be interesting to see.

And being on Personal, I had earlier wondered "Well, for those of us on Personal, perhaps the AI Edit will be a Professional feature only so it will go away." Hopefully we don't see in-app adverts to try and get us to upgrade to AI Edit like this: 

 

Edit: I'm on 10.86.2-mac-ddl and I'm not seeing the AI Edit popup button at the moment although I can still use AI Edit on Personal for now.

This is very useful information, as my subscription is about to renew and I need to decide between continuing Professional or dropping to Personal. I'm feeling more Personal all the time.

so AI functionality now costs $40/year (there is little in Professional vs Personal beside this perk unless you really need to store more than 10gb of data)

Notion's AI addon is much more expensive: $96/year (granted, it's more powerful than what EN is offering)

That there is a difference between the Personal and the Professional plan ? Granted, this anybody can look up on the website. I ask myself: What do you want to tell the users of this forum ? Anything applicable, like a use case or similar ? Just wondering …

Will this change in the AI features (Edit, Cleanup, and Search) impact Personal accounts that were created prior to this announcement? I believe Personal accounts were meant to always have those AI features hence I signed up for the service.

Looks like the in-note encryption is back now for Personal. Maybe they changed their minds or it was just an oversight.

Maybe this response is too late and the answer is clear now, but my impression was that they were just allowing all subscription levels to test it out for the time being i.e. I personally wasn't planning on it being part of Personal long term. (I just hope they don't leave it front and center to us Personals, trying to market it to us in perpetuum.)

I really hope someone responds with password protected “notebooks” with E2E encryption as a request. I believe that has been the more general request over the years.

AI won’t nudge me to Pro, but this would.

I was just going to start a new topic to ask about this when I saw this convo.

I'm on Personal and was wondering what the Professional would offer after I noticed they mention the AI search + boolean search. I have access to both on the Personal account (unless there's more boolean search options I never use).

E2E encryption for folders would also convince me to go with the Pro (even thought I don't need the extra monthly space or multiple calendars)

I am on Personal, and I (still ?) have access to the AI functions.

So either they allow some trial, or the new plans have not yet been put into effect.
