What UX 'genius' thinks this is a good idea ?..

First, 'new enhanced EN' removes note/notebook shortcuts from top panel.
Then, it forces me to use :
a)
popup menu - point mouse to star icon, wait until menu appears, find shortcut, click it
b) home-screen - click to activate home screen then scroll tiny window with shortcuts, select the one you need, click it).
Either way it takes more time & more clicks.

Citing certain movie character, I've rhetorical question for dev team : "Are you nuts?!."

Shortcuts are now on the sidebar, not the top. Honestly, big deal, IMHO And FWIW, I've had to scroll that top shortcut list in Legacy in order to reach one at the end, since each one occupies the space that the item it refers to requires.

First the shortcuts are on a top position of the side panel, within easy reach.

Second they can be added to the Home Screen. That this didn’t exist in legacy doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be useful.

Third the shortcuts #1-9 on the list can be opened by typing ctrl/cmd - number as keyboard shortcut.

I really wonder why some users don’t explore the possibilities of an app before coming to the conclusion other people must be nuts. No, it’s not the other people …
