Hi!

Evernote has very good search language https://dev.evernote.com/doc/articles/search_grammar.php

But its broken:

1. If i save this query:  tag:label1 -tag:label2 it was work, but after saving search query - its not work

2. * is broken. query tag:label* not work.

WBR

I've tried both your examples and they both work for me fine. What platform are you trying them on? If it is a desktop version I suggest you try on the web version. You may need to refresh your local data base by logging out and choosing to "Remove my EN data from the device". Then log back in. The data will download but EN should be usable while that is happening in the background.

I'm no wizz with search syntax. Does it matter where you start the search to get the results? Eg would I get results searching from All Notes but not starting inside a particular notebook?

You are correct. Advanced search syntax works like regular search in that you still need to choose between the current notebook and "everywhere" unless you are already in All Notes. If you then save the search, that context is also saved, indicated by the presence or absence of a blue notebook filter lozenge.

All search queries work for me, no issues, exactly as coded.

I second the proposal to replace the local database. This will refresh the search index as well.

Work if you save search query?

Does for me as well. It looks a bit weird, because in the search only the search term and the -tag:mytagname2 will show. But the tag:mytagname1 is showing in the search header as a blue tag preselecting, and it takes effect as well on the search result.

So it works for me, both as typing it in, or calling it from a saved search.
