Notes disappeared

Started a new job today and there wasn’t any paper, so I used the app. Six hours later, in two large sections of my notes where I had typed earlier before lunch, were now mysteriously gone. 
 

Imagine my surprise when I realized that others were having similar issues in the past year. Great time to leave the app and find something better. Six hours of notes, gone. Poof. 💨 
 

I’ll stick to paper and a pen next time.

Welcome to the forums. There have been reports of data loss, as you mention; others don't experience it and the reasons are not clear. Have you tried looking at the Note History for the affected note(s)? You'd have to do that in the Evernote Web client or desktop app, since Note History isn't available in the Android app.
