unable to copy/paste note title

After iOS 17 update unable to copy/paste note title in to body of note or in to another app.

Can reproduce this - and you can’t copy INTO the title field either. What does work is populating the title automatically from the first line of the note body.

How do you populate the title automatically from the first line of the note body?

iOS client: Type anything in the note body. Then go to the empty title field. Without entering anything, tap it. 

It takes the first line of body text (if it contains a . (Period), until that character) and pasted it into the title field.
