mackid1993 1,279
I wonder what is going on over at BS this week. I guess maybe some of that old unused code they cleaned up wasn't unused. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted September 14, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 14, 2023 Why ? Because a website may be offline for a brief moment ? I run a website myself, and from time to time it will be off. Big surprise ? No, just server maintenance or that urgent fix for a zero-day-exploit for an add-on. Please don’t stop, keep on walking. There is nothing to be seen at this crash site. Just a fender bender … 1 Link to comment

There is nothing to be seen at this crash site. Just a fender bender … It was offline for like 6-8 hours yesterday. Plus they pushed a mobile release with a major known issue and didn't at least pause the rollout. I'm pretty disappointed right now to say the least. Link to comment

I think Apple and Google have a lot more say than Evernote in what is available for mobiles and when. The page was down, and now it's not. 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted September 15, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 15, 2023 At least on iOS you can’t place an older version at the appstore. Once a release is out, it stays and can only be replaced by a newer one. Link to comment

Level 5* gazumped 12,070 Posted September 15, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted September 15, 2023 Even Google Play had some malware apps. I have no idea what's acceptably safe or not, but we're off topic for this thread - again... 1 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted September 15, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 15, 2023 On Android it’s possible to load an older version of an app, but it’s often not possible to update to the latest OS release. No thanks, I rather prefer the way iOS is handling updates. Link to comment

Level 5 PinkElephant 8,819 Posted September 15, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 15, 2023 LOL we had users here who couldn’t update EN because they were locked into Android 9 on their Pixel 4. Never had such a problem with my iPhone 6S, build in 2015. Link to comment

That sounds like operator error. Link to comment

Ah, but the thread is about a dead issue, a temporary outage that was fixed yesterday. It's the wild west here -- a free thread to drift in! 1 Link to comment
