Beavergreen 2
I've been an EN user for a long time and since I've retired, personal usage has declined. So, when I got a notification of their price increase, plan reviews began. I currently subscribe to EN Personal. I went to the EN website and compared plans - to see if there is a better fit for me. Nope - either free or $105 per year. But the website told me to refer to the App Store to manage my subscription...so off I went. On my IOS device, I found EN available plans - and there is a plan called EN Plus offered for $50 / year. However, I could not find any explanation of what is offered in that plan - the website did not mention Plus - but it is offered on the App Store. Any help would be appreciated! 1 Link to comment
Level 5* gazumped 12,079 Posted September 13, 2023 Level 5* Share Posted September 13, 2023 Hmmn. The Plus plan was discontinued a while ago. The Compare Evernote subscription plans page will show you more. I doubt you'll be able to use that option, but you're welcome to try... (I should point out that we're mainly not employees in the Forums here, just other users!) If it makes things easier you could go to a monthly payment on the Personal plan, or even go to Free - if your needs are very modest you can continue with low upload limits and access only by the web and one other device. Best of luck with your decision - please let us know how it plays out! 1 Link to comment
ForestD 1,540
That page that Gazumped linked to also has a link to this page that has additional information too: Evernote system limits I was on the Plus plan and grandfathered in after it was discontinued and I thought it was a great plan. A little more storage, unlimited devices, half the price... it suited my needs very well. I'd also be surprised if you could actually activate the Plus plan though -- even though it looks selectable. AFAIK only people that are grandfathered in under those plans can still be on those plans (thus the reason they still show in the App Store) -- they aren't taking new sign ups. Edit: This was already tried once but it doesn't work: Quote I just tried to select Plus and you're right, it didn't go through. -- see https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/146291-plan-content-and-how-to-switch-to-free-unclear/?do=findComment&comment=686936 Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 8,852 Posted September 13, 2023 Level 5 Share Posted September 13, 2023 The grandfathered subscriptions are listed in the AppStore for technical reasons only. If they would not be listed, they could not be used for renewal by users who still are on these plans. New subscribers, or existing subscribers who decide to change plans can’t effectively select any of the grandfathered plans. For everybody except those who still are on Plus or Premium it’s Personal, Professional or Teams. 1 Link to comment
Evernote Expert agsteele 3,061 Posted September 13, 2023 Evernote Expert Share Posted September 13, 2023 Actually all the grand-fathered plans are in the process of being withdrawn. Current users will be notified and moved to Personal with the option to drop to Free when their sub comes due for renewal. 2 1 Link to comment
mackid1993 1,320
I'm wondering why Evernote Personal is listed as $104.99 a year. I'm paying $129 a year + tax? Is this a regional thing? Link to comment
ForestD 1,540
Pricing is regional. Here is the official price listing: https://s24953.pcdn.co/blog/wp-content/uploads/2023/04/Evernote-pricing-table-2023.pdf (2023-12-15 Edit: This link has been dead for the last couple of months or so and is still broken as of today.)
