Unable to create new notes on Google pixel 7 pro after buying year professional subscription

Foolishly I decided to purchase the year long subscription yesterday and now I cannot create notes anymore on the mobile app.

This is the most bizarre customer experience - pay more for an app that is now redundant.

I can see that this is a long-standing issue, I've raised it as a ticket and been told that Evernote are working on it (no timescale).

How is it this hard to fix?

I had this issue before and managed to fix it accidentally through some combination of logging in and out on different devices but now it's back and I can't remember the trick.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I am not sure if 10.53.2 is available in your region and for your device already.

For iOS it rolled out in one go (as it always does), and note creation is super fast now.

As long as you can't get 10.53.2, a possible workaround is to create some empty notes in advance, and use them whenever note creation would take too long. Not ideal, but it worked for me for the last days before 10.53.2 solved the issue.
