Cannot get started using the app because GET STARTED widget keeps crashing

Just signed up and downloaded the app but am having trouble getting started with it as the GET STARTED widget keeps crashing. To be honest I would rather just figure it out for myself but I can't get rid of the widget without a paid plan, and I don't want to pay for a plan upfront for a crashy buggy app. I can't submit a support ticket because there are too many support tickets already in the system, so I'm wondering if it is worth continuing with the app 

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can stop the widget crashing, or get rid of it without paying money, or get some tech support?

Hi, and welcome to the forums. I'm not sure what you mean by the GET STARTED widget. Is there not an Evernote icon in your app drawer or on a Home screen that you can tap? (Also not sure why you can't remove a widget without paying, but that's a different question.) In any case, a new version of the app, supposed to be much improved esp. WRT crashes, has been released to Google Play. It's v. 10.53.1. Watch for it to appear in the Play Store (I haven't actually seen it on my phone yet), and install it when it arrives. Hopefully that will help.

Hi, the widgets are within the app and you can see the GET STARTED widget in the attached screenshot. You can't customise the widgets on a free plan, so you need to upgrade to a paid plan to get rid of it.

I've started using Notion instead - heaps easier - and it works!

Ah, I'd forgotten about that set of introductory articles for new users. I don't think it's really one of the Home page widgets, but I could be wrong. I assume you've tried clicking the ^ to the right of GET STARTED? If you can't get it working, then yeah, you may do better back with Notion (which I know nothing about).
